Vision
The Vision of the Erikson Center is to be the best in delivering a wide range of services for severely challenged adolescents and families who have experienced major disruptions in their lives. The Erikson Center encourages success through building social, educational and vocational skills. Self-reliance, self-esteem, and empowerment are encouraged in a structured, healthy, growth-enhancing environment.
Erikson Center Residential Program
The Erikson Center Residential Program is a 56-bed RCL-12 program that provides a comprehensive life support and treatment program helping emotionally disturbed adolescents develop skills to deal with family, educational, emotional, community, vocational and health issues. The main facility houses 38 adolescent boys, Erikson High School, and Day Treatment Program. Six-bed group homes in the community provide an additional 18 beds.
Erikson High School
The Erikson High School is a state certified, non-public accredited school for the residents as well as community day students. The Erikson High School's specialized program is geared to the educational needs of its students (ages 13 to 17). Through individually planned educational programs and a caring environment, the school staff encourages a positive learning experience.
The curriculum includes remedial instruction as well as GED and diploma classes. A regular high school program is offered including enrichment electives such as photography, poetry, drama and team sports. Students are encouraged to take vocational courses at the local community colleges.
Erikson 7-Day Treatment Program
