Who Seeks Help From The Center For Family Living?
Adult clients diagnosed with a persistent mental illness and dually diagnosed clients receive treatment and support so that they can continue to live as functional members of the community. The Center for Family Living (CFL) also provides referrals for victims of domestic violence.
What Services Are Provided By The Center for Family Living?
Clients receive outpatient care while remaining active in their home communities. Services include assertive case management, crisis intervention, medication, and individual and group counseling. The client receives assistance in developing achievable goals. Groups provide psycho education and medication management, and assist clients in building life skills and managing symptoms.
How The Center For Family Living Can Help
CFL assists the client in developing his/her natural support system in the community. Resources include the client's family, the Center's Victory Clubhouse program, self-help groups, and other community organizations.
If a client wishes to learn new job skills or obtain further education, the treatment team may refer him/her to the Center's Valley Employment Services program. This program provides supported education or employment, job clubs, and support groups for clients who wish to reenter the work force or return to school.
Treatment team members may visit clients at home to provide supportive intervention. They also serve as liaison between the client and family members and/or hospital staff if the client requires hospitalization.
The Manos de Esperanza program, conducted in Spanish for Spanish-speaking clients, offers the same services as CFL.
